Active cooling concept of the MPx for maximum system stability

The MPx media pump from FORVIA HELLA is equipped with a active cooling concept: A part of the coolant is directed specifically through the pump in order to optimally cool the electronics and the stator. This protects the pump from overheating even under high current density and load. The coolant flows both around the stator and through the rotor, ensuring that all critical components are kept at an even temperature. In addition, this technology ensures stable performance - regardless of external temperature fluctuations - and significantly extends the service life of the pump.

Intelligent control for maximum safety and durability

The MPx media pump enables the coolant delivery to be adapted precisely to the respective situation in the vehicle. The pump communicates with a higher-level control unit and regulates the flow rate by adjusting the speed as required. This provides optimum and energy-efficient support for the cooling system - regardless of the load or ambient temperature. With a power consumption of up to 200 watts the MPx ensures optimum temperature control. 
An extension to up to 400 watts is planned for the future. This is particularly important with regard to powerful electric cars and industrial applications, as a more powerful pump can ensure the necessary cooling capacity. A higher output also makes it possible to react more quickly to temperature changes and therefore improve the efficiency of the entire cooling system.

In addition to the pumping capacity, the MPx scores with integrated safety functions: The pump has blockage detection, dry-running protection and temperature and current monitoring. These functions reliably protect the electronics from overheating and increase the pump's resistance even when the coolant is contaminated. Thanks to these measures, the performance of the MPx remains consistently high - even under extreme operating conditions, such as those commonly found in construction and agricultural machinery or electric commercial vehicles.
