Sweden-South Korea Energy Transition Forum
BACKGROUND
The urgency of transitioning to a net-zero world, particularly in addressing climate change, cannot be overstated. The energy sector alone is responsible for approximately three-quarters of global greenhouse gas emissions, making it a significant challenge. Recent geopolitical events have underscored the importance of energy security while simultaneously adhering to commitments towards a greener future.
Sweden and South Korea, renowned countries for their innovation, share a common commitment to sustainable development. This forum aligns with their respective goals of achieving carbon neutrality and aims to foster increased investment in renewable energy, promote cooperation in nuclear technology, and enhance power infrastructure.
